BOOK No2 BONES

Bones are the material ghosts of animals who have passed through the woods that I walk everyday.

For the past twenty years, I have collected these memento mori. A shipwrecked elk carcass gathered from the forest floor. A gape-mouthed mask, a deer pelvis found in a meadow. An encrusted relic, a fossilized femur, that seems to have been brought to the surface from an underwater grave.  An archaeology of home.
